A specific place, on purpose.

Most programs sell access to Japan. We sell immersion in a specific place — Sanuki, where community comes first.

— Takeshi Izuka · PLH Immersion Camp

Sanuki City is on Shikoku, the smallest of Japan's main islands. We run from our own campus 45 minutes from Takamatsu airport. No host families to match — you live in dorms on campus, with 24/7 bilingual staff, and you rotate through a working farm and café where neighbors already know your name by week two.

Voices from past cohorts.

He arrived quiet. By week two he was arguing with the café owner about noodle thickness. In Japanese.

PARENT OF ETHAN · 15 · SEATTLE · '25

The farm ruined me for regular summer camp. Feeding cows at 7am is better than any activity schedule.

MAYA · 16 · BROOKLYN · '25

We looked at programs twice this price. The value isn't even close. Our daughter came home fluent in context.
